Heritage Timeline
The House of Ito traces its roots back to Yamato Syuzou, founded in 1821—the first to produce a single malt whisky in Kumamoto Prefecture and the first to ever produce a rice whisky—a rarity, even in Japan. For generations, their philosophy has been very simple, but extraordinarily ambitious, “To craft spirits of such extraordinary character that they bring joy to life.”
Craftsmanship Process
Every drop of whisky is made using pristine underground water from the Aso mountain range. Using proprietary fermentation and distillation practices, our products are aged in white oak barrels, resulting in complexity, smoothness, and depth.
